Very light spyware protection pack

Malware Defender is what is known as an HIPS (Host Intrusion Prevention System) which basically means it protects you from all kinds of malware and spyware that may try to hijack your system.

The key advantage of Malware Defender, however, is that it is very low on resources despite featuring a realtime protection system, process manager, kernel module manager, hooks detector, autostart application manager, file explorer and a registry Editor. Combined, these protect your from viruses, worms, Trojans, adware, spyware, keyloggers and rootkits.

Malware Detector doesn't seem to be the most intuitive program to use. The reason it is so lightweight is that it's very stripped down, meaning that the results are reduced to nothing more than a crude list of its functions and status. It does however run incredibly discreetly which makes you wonder whether it's really having an effect but it seems to pick up everything that Adaware, etc. finds.

Malware Detector is probably not a great starting app for beginners but if you need a lightweight malware scanner, it's a decent option as long as you know what you're doing.

  • Pros

    • Takes you through setup process set by step
    • Very low on resources
  • Cons

    • Still doesn't block certain keyloggers

One of the best freeware Security Software I have ever seen!. You have to use the Safe Processes with Learning Mode first without running Unsafe Processes! Then Switch back to Normal Mode you really would'nt need to use any Firewall or Antivirus Software. Some stuff like flash when using Web Browser still have to be added to Trusted List or just enable Learning Mode again also same applies to all safe functions in Windows for example open a picture using another Windows program etc. I've also tested it with CLT and it has a full score! Missing some Screen and Webcam blocking features etc. apart from this your Computer is still 100% sealed to the teeth. The ONLY problem's I see is that most people who use Computers Today are not educated enough to use their own Computer System's and blame it on the Security Software like stupid human beings, they don't even want to learn anymore than what they already know about Computers and just take the bloody shortcuts all the time this is very funny! Pros: You now don't even need any Firewall And Antivirus Software! Cons: Missing some Screen And Webcam Blocking etc. but not really necessary!

Softonic

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
